Well Mr Bjoyhoy
Future Bjoyhoy: I Can’t help but notice you haven’t bothered to blog much recently… and it all started so well didn’t it, with all that new blog gusto.
Present Bjoyhoy: Well if you’re from the future, you’ll know that i’ve spent way too much time catching up with actual work and wacting countless hours playing videogames i didn’t have a chance to play over christmas.
Past Bjoyhoy: Saw it coming
OK, so it’s not the most regular of postings, but determined to keep things going for a bit longer, i’ve got a list as long as your arm of games i’ve picked up because
a) I Had to – Take a bow Left 4 Dead
b) They were so cheap i couldn’t not buy them. The Under 18 lineup for December / Early january included: Beautiful Katamari(12), FIFA 09(18), Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles (10), Boom Blox (15), Mirrors Edge (18)
Now thats alot of money to spend around the christmas period, but I don’t think i could’ve picked them up cheaper, even in the january sales. Of course, this has only added to my bloated and unwieldly Pile of shame. This has been remedied somewhat by playing through some gears of war, promoting that off to the bottom. Frobags, a good friend of mine has recently picked up a 360, and so we’ve been playing through the game. Up to chapter 3 so far, and it’s been very much enjoyable.
Impressions:
Katamari is everything i expected, although more difficult. I don’t seem to get anything other than abject failure score wise, managed to complete a few levels, but nothing to make the king say WOW! Bjoyhoy your Katamari is excellent… This makes me sad.
L4D is something i was particularly keen to play, although i was waiting untill some of the locals owned it to play co-op with them. It’s been worth the wait, and hopefully tomorrow night should see the first 4 player LAN run through of the campaigns. Me and Sprigan were running advanced mode last night, but 2 players leaves too much leway for the CPU characters to do stupid things that seriously hurt the survivors chances.
