Ok, so i havn’t blogged in a while, but thats mainly because i’ve been to busy sitting slack jawed infront of my 360. Since the last post, i’ve failed to get much further with mother, mainly because the 2 trips i’ve been on lacked either a) power to my GBA or b) headphones for the battles.
As for Lara, i’m afraid there’s just been much better games to be playing. I’ve been hitting fallout Hard lately, around 60 hours in now with a level 14 saintly creature who’s penchant for exploring and side quests have left me with lots of storyline almost discarded thus far. I’ve barely even started the main story line, i’ve been so happy just wandering around the place and taking every little thing out of the wastes to sell. The stupid thing is that even though i’m doing that, by the time you take into account repairs and expended bullets and stimpacks etc. i’m probably not that much better off. I have found myself in some lovely places though, and with some great experiences from it all. I doubt this is the last you’ve heard on Fallout 3.
Rock Band 2 has also hit the 360, and it’s just as fun as the last one. Me and Anniedele ar eexclusively hard players now, although it’s *really* hard on some songs, usually it’s been the ones i’ve liked the most tune wise that have been the hardest on the drums :( I’ve also been playing Bass when it gets late, which is pretty straight forwards compared to the guitar, but still great fun on most of the tracks (Bar beastie boys….)
The other biggie is Left 4 Dead, of which i only have the demo, but damn that demo is good! Got to play the 4 on 4 round a friends house over the weekend, and it’s beyond fun! I really can’t wait to hit the LAN party with it. I am rubbish with all the zombies bar the boomer, but then you can’t win ‘em all.
The real key on this blog now is how long it takes to get the next one up isn’t it…..

Thats right, i’m a bone fide hall of famer (On medium). Me and anniedele went through the hall of fame, me on the drums, her on the guitar. It was really fun, took about an hour to do the set, annie even managed to 100% one song. The previous post about the tipping point is now plain to see i think. Hard is beckoning, we really are walking most of medium. We have hit some of the easier tracks, but my drummings not really up to scratch. Trying to make my leg move independantly of either arm is proving quite difficult at the min, although i’m slowly getting there.
The weekend was actually a marvelous run of gaming, i got some stuntman in, which i’ve been desperate to get back to for the longest time, i five *’ed another movie and the odd jobs. This game is probably my most enjoyed on the 360, every moment i hit start -> restart level i feel a little thrill. I’ll be genuinely upset when i finish this game, although there is some DLC should i feel the urge, although trying to get information on that is like getting blood from a stone…
All in all 375 achievements this weekend, which tipped me over 5000! Bargain!

LLcooljo, Me & Anniedele – Could you have a finer three piece rock band who play only certain songs. Well yes, especially as ll is working on easy as we speak, and both myself and annie are not quite at the tipping point of medium is too easy to try hard on many of the songs as of yet.
The second guitar has worked out really well, we’re using the GH one as the bass, and the RB one as lead. I think i get on a bit better with the GH one, but i suppose until we hit hard mode you can’t really say for sure either way. I also got the drum pads to make things a little less loud. I wanted to get the Drumshhh felt pads, but unfortunately their shipping to the UK is more expensive than their pads ($15 for the pads, $24 for shipping…!). So I chumped up and got the official ones, which are more like mouse mats, and they really do work. They also have an added bonus of covering the rims, meaning some of the more wayward individuals who have had a go don’t cause unnecessary harm to my lovely drums…. ahh!
